Ingredients contained in the product are listed in order by weight. You have caught on to the trick the Pet food manufactures try to play on the consumer by breaking the corn content up into component parts in an effort to push the meat portion further up the ingredient list. It's simply a maketing ploy to make an lesser quality product appear like that of a higher quality product, thereby enticing the consumer to pay premium food prices for grocery store quality. Compare the Science Diet lable to that of Eukanuba, Pro Plan or Nutro. You'll find that the bag of Science Diet is mostly corn, and a very expensive bag of corn at that. Now keep in mind that a lot of other pet food Mfgrs pull the same tricks, so buyer beware.
